Just had to share this. This is the starless part of an image I just reprocessed. The full Veil Nebula. This is what it looked like before I added the stars back in. Just wanted you to see the details.

Just before sunrise there was an occultation of Jupiter by this 5% moon. This is its reappearance. Still going through the images to see what's best.

The bright star in the Blue Horse Head Nebula is Jabbah, which I didn't realize was a double star until I started imaging it last night.

And this is my first-ever try at the Blue Horse Head Nebula. It's faint, and needs eight hours or more of exposure to really show it off. Also it's huge, and I'll need to change my camera angle to get it all. This is 45 minutes, which is all I could get after weeding out the ones of lower quality. A couple or three clear nights and I could do this justice (I never have access to it for more than three hours at a time).

I believe this is the fourth time I've gone out to Darkskyland to photograph meteors. It's also the first time I've come home with a nice image of a meteor.

The moon and Saturn, taken a short while ago. Saturn is toward the upper left. You might need to view it on something larger than a phone. But if you can blow it up a bit, you can actually tell that it's Saturn.

The open cluster NGC 6885. I took a few images of this earlier in the month, but this is a better look at it.

From last night, IC 5146, the Cocoon Nebula. I need another several hours of images to stack before I consider this done. (Embarrassingly, I misidentified this as the Lagoon in the original post.)

Worked on the Dark Shark for another nine hours last night. Hopefully you can start to see why astrophotographers put in so many hours, especially on a faint target like this.

Out taking pictures of the moon because I'm just so happy to look up and see something besides rain clouds.

Here's a question I don't get to ask often. Do you still have your eclipse glasses from last month? If so, step outside and look at this monster active region AR3664. You can literally see it with nothing but safety eyewear.

This is the Lobster Claw Nebula. Kind of a faint, tricky one. I might try to get some more on this when the moon goes down tonight.
