@tuxedocomputers Egal, so lange das syntaktisch gültiger Forth-Code bleibt ist mir das recht.

@hackclub @arturo182 @Raspberry_Pi What I find a bit sad about those projects is that they limit their input devices so much. Essentially it turns a computer, one of the most powerful machines mankind ever created into a toy. With just some more buttons, it could still be a computer you could program.

@mephisto It could be shielding, but it looks like it's airflow. Doing such a part as a PCB might be a fairly cost effective for low volumes as it's easily outsourced and can be developed quickly.

@tuxedocomputers C and C++ are _not_ the same language. You might as well bunch Java and C++ into one category.

I have just learned that there is a Rock Opera about the Nativity... done by the people who did "The IT Crowd". It's called "AD/BC: A Rock Opera".https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JS1eTb6smNM

@foone Ironically multi-port serial cards look just like that. :)

@lanodan @foone Well considering that it can save you from having to waste a lot of PCI-E slots, the price is quite OK.Compared to USB to serial device, these are a _lot_ more reliable since they by-pass USB.

@lanodan @foone You were extremely lucky then. Anything beyond keyboard and mouse I have crashes regularly because the bus resets on any tiny static discharge in the room.

@foone @womble It would likely also be easier to develop for as you could use stuff like Delphi or Visual Basic.

@foone @lispi314 @leo @lanodan I don't see how TIFF can be more of a security nightmare than PDF for example, since PDF can include images all encodings used in TIFF.

@stux Thinking about it, I find it fascinating that this feels adjacent to "elegant code". This is a bit like code that is minimalistic, as everything just "clicks" together in ways that cannot go wrong.

@foone You can power Raspberry PIs through the pin header. This might be much more reliable since USB never was meant for that use case. Also newer Raspberry PIs expect 5.1 Volts.

@foone Well there are actually numbers on how much bandwidth one has towards the mind. One can estimate that with random numbers, for example... and it's just double digit bits per second.Of course when typing text, there's a lot of redundancy.

@kaia There's rumors of such stamps being able to automatically go forward one day a day. There's also "Paginierstempel" who can automatically count documents.
