@actualham My family moved to South Dakota in 1973 and that's all that was in the news Pine Ridge. But also the Wounded Knee protest as well with Dennis Banks and Russell Means,... and it was all 'local' news. We left in 1978, but I remember those news stories on the TeeVee all the time.

@futurebird @davidho Hard Agree. If this were a Union shop, the order would be, "go slow". It's not a strike or stoppage, but all the beautiful productivity Wall Street types crow about, that's gone. 1% less productivity each day,... cumulative.

@zeldman same🙋it me. We even had new touch panel machines for the first time. We were paper ballot this time last year. Touch panel was kinda interesting, you got a big CVS-style blank receipt with a bar code you feed-in. That tells the machine which ballot you get. And then just go through prompts. It prints ON the receipt what you punched and you get to double-check. Then you cast the ballot, and it gives you an audible bing-bong clear tone. And you're done, and you get a sticker.
