I don't know much about modern data centres, beyond a basic understanding of server hardware. Their penchant for water usage for because of cooling, right? If cost were not an issue, how bad for the environment would an LLM prompt still be if fulfilled by data centre that is powered exclusively by solar/wind power, and cooled with closed-loop cooling?#LLM #Datacenters #Environment

The #GlobalSumudFlotilla is being illegally intercepted in international waters. The camera feeds have been lost. In the past Israel has jammed networks in advance of illegal interceptions, and the flotilla had just been approaching the distance from shore where prior sailors had been kidnapped. All eyes on Gaza.

The ships of the Global Sumud Flotilla on a mission to send international humanitarian aid directly to the Palestinians in Gaza has been illegally intercepted in international waters. Their live camera feeds have been lost after reporting being surrounded by ships in the dark. I urgently request your attention in this matter. If Israel has again kidnapped citizens of our allies in international waters, Canada must respond by closing loopholes that allow military hardware to be exported from Canada to Israel. Canada must also consider options to suspend or withdraw from the Canada-Israel Free Trade Agreement.

Israel continues to prosecute a campaign of destruction in Gaza. It has been credibly accused of war crimes including deliberate killing of civilians and children, medical personnel, and journalists. The WHO has confirmed that Israeli blockade of humanitarian aid into Gaza has created a famine. The UN Human Rights Council Commission of Inquiry on Gaza genocide has concluded that Israel is failing to prevent and is actively commiting genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

Canada's recognition of the state of Palestine is insufficient. We must do more to sanction Israel for its crimes against humanity. Canadian businesses continue to sell arms to Israel through intermediary nations. There are Canadian citizens participating in Israel's campaign who must be investigated for participation in war crimes. Canadian non-profits organisations are providing material support for Israeli military personnel.
