It was frosty yesterday when we walked a narrow trail in the bush. I narrowly missed this little beauty of a Garter Snake. She had been hiding her head under a leaf and was too cold to move. Took her a while to slither all of her ~80 cm off the path. Time to hibernate, I told her.#snake #NaturePhotography

It looked like algae growing on a wet log. Moving closer it resembled a slime mold 🧐 . On the computer screen it turned out to be a rather pretty fungus: Trichoderma gelatinosum. They are widely studied for uses in agriculture, medicine, and industries, I learned.#fungi #macro #MacroPhotography
