@kaia for AI? Sure. You can offload different layers to different GPUs

TIL the HomePods have an accelerometer. Why would they need that?

This is the third time this year that Quad9 is having issues with not resolving a legitimate domain, presumably due to their malware filter. Very unfortunate.

@pixel TeamSpeak? Also, I don't mind it for gaming. But I despise it for software projects.

Can someone explain to me why my smart home hub #Homey only responds to WiFi pings when I touch it? Is it just... lonely?

(It's supposed to be moving, but it doesn't, and it's lacking a motor. So I'm not done yet. But if you want to print it yourself, here's the project: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5375662To clarify: I did *not* design this myself.)

10 years later and I still find the Touch Bar was a great idea. All it was missing was an integration into a standalone keyboard product so people could actually use it properly while doing work at their office. I'll die on that hill. The lack of being able to fully integrate it is what killed the Touch Bar. Most productivity tools didn't bother with implementing any useful Touch Bar features, because they figured almost nobody would use them. Most of the time the Mac is used with an external keyboard anyways, especially when doing serious "Pro" work. So the Touch Bar remained a gimmick. With a dedicated Touch Bar Keyboard, a lot of "Pro" users would have demanded Pro app developers to integrate the Touch Bar more deeply, because they would have been able to rely on it being there. And they would've loved the versatility of it.

Why is my home Wi-Fi always so slow? This is the best I can get out of it :( I'm using a UniFi U6 Lite, Wi-Fi 6, 5 GHz, and the AP is in the room next door, so there really shouldn't be any issues.Any tips?

@louis it's definitely the WiFi. Same bottleneck when transferring locally over WiFi. Ethernet (local and WAN) works at full 1G speed as expected.

@louis just complains about signal strength. It's about 10m through one wall. That should be fine, right?

Tried #Moltbot/ #OpenClaw today. Made it do 5 different things to try it out. It literally failed all of them. It didn't even manage to set up a simple RSS alert. It created the cronjob to check for a new article every 30 minutes and then just deactivated it right away.I asked it multiple times whether it was disabled, because I could clearly see it in the UI as disabled, but it always tried to gaslight me into believing that it's activated and that the UI is wrong.Needless to say, the cronjob didn't run once.I don't understand how people can extract (even temporary) value out of these things. It's like trying to get a kid to help you with your taxes.

@monsieuricon seems like something @hetzner would be able to easily sponsor, right? :)
