Nowadays, there are many employers icing employees for either having too little money, wanting to move someone inside into a job (read: running the mandated clock) or just making it to uplift the single employee or skeleton crew.Why the default is to 'ice' is because saying anything at all might land the business on the defence end of a lawsuit.
