       I'm currently keeping a diary as a way of making sense of life and being able to re-read myself in the future. I've found it to be a very good exercise.Today I lost all I had written at because the browser tab closed... Is there a good FOSS cloud app alternative? I'm currently using jrnl.com.

       @person I don't like the idea of carrying around a notebook with private thoughts and someone being able to just read it.Also, I like to do text searches, tag entries, adding photos and that stuff.

       @urusan @person Really good alternatives. That's more or less what I've been looking for. I might set up a cloud file sync in addition to one of those.

       I took the Dec 14 Google outage as motivation to "host" my own cloud and be more mindful with the software I use FLOSS-wise.I came to know Nextcloud, Syncthing and that you can actually self-host Overleaf. The thing is that I've been holding-off given my lack of expertise  setting an actual server.

       I created a Linode account.They have this One-Click installations, but I can't afford to pay separate instances for each app I want to deploy.So I have to set everything up in a "VPS". How can I have each app in a container and depending on different subdomains serve each of them?

       @kev @sotolf @mike I think is reasonable to be in a space where It is agreed to leave politcs aside (if that's even possible). Not necessarily because I'd prefer not be exposed to ideas that challenge my views in other contexts but It can be draining if you feel strongly about certain ideas.@be an instance that is also STEM oriented where you could have more open discussions without disclaimers might be qoto.org. I don't have any further reference though, I've only read about their CoC.
