@Raspberry_Pi Better if made to an older recipe that actually incorporates minced beef. And I much prefer puff paste for mince pies!

@Raspberry_Pi Try this... https://suburban-peasant.blogspot.com/2019/12/dinner-diary-christmas-meat-mince-pies.html Also making your own puff pastry is much, much easier than I found setting up my pi zero as a music streamer, so you'll be able to manage that just fine. Egg glaze on top too. And up at Pi HQ I know you're classy enough not to forget the brandy butter...

@Raspberry_Pi Typically I call them 'disappointing'. It's never good sausage, and it's never good bacon.

Scientists left a hamster wheel in the woods, and wild mice, frogs even slugs had a wild time running in it. #Science #Mice #Rodents #Hamster https://royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/rspb.2014.0210

I should point out that our hamster, the latest in a line of pet hamsters stretching back decades, has a palatial residence with miles of chambers, tubes, pods, cages and burrows. And like all other hamsters she STILL loves her wheels. Escaped twice, first time emptied her treats box and took them all home, second time trapper herself in the recycling bin. She's happy at home, and loves to come out and play with us.

Anyway, to increase my vegan recipe repertoire, I've made soya milk (not awful, not my favourite thing), oat milk (minging) and of course I'm familiar with coconut milk. I'm not especially taken with almond and hazel nut milks I've tried. Are there any others I should try making, that are nice? #milk #PlantMilk #Veganuary #Vegan

Weirdly we discussed how we'd do #veganuary back in December and as I predicted 9 vegan meals a week, that's not a challenge. We have more plant based meals than that anyway. But milk is harder - most plant milks are a bit naff, and she does like her milky tea. So what else can I make that's good?

So, here, over on the bird site and elsewhere one of the responses I'm getting to my post about death caps is "but they look like edible mushrooms". My counter point would be no, they don't. Do I need to compile a short thread, here or elsewhere, explaining what the identifying features of fungi are?

@drgeraint Posting it at the birdsite because it's very, very picture heavy. It'll take days to get through all the features but I'm on it. https://twitter.com/gnomeicide/status/1688859822056239105

Boost please British folk. Woods here are FULL of death caps. Amanita phalloides. In decades of picking I have never seen as many as here on Cambridge today. It not even usually common here. It's brutally poisonous, please share a warning to avoid it #mushtodon #fungi #mushrooms
