@wogan @ramsey @heiglandreas @Skoop @afilina that is way too small of a sample to do any kind of performance evaluation against on a shared system like 3v4l.

@opencollective is there a known issue with Apple Pay at the moment? I've been trying to create a payment through them and am getting an error. It's working for other sites in the same browser though.

@opencollective I kept trying a few times a day, it resolved after a couple days and I’ve now successfully processed the transaction.

@opencollective Oh, forgot to answer your question, it's the phpc.social one for supporting my mastodon instance: https://opencollective.com/phpcommunity/projects/phpc-social

@benjojo I keep saying “#IPv6 is faster” and people keep telling me I’m wrong, or claiming that’s just because it’s “not yet at scale” or “not seeing true production load”. Just makes me want to scream.

@foone should be easy: two mirrors, one for the front, one for the back, the edge is directly exposed to the camera. Both sides are then the same distance away. With enough light and a good lens you should be able to get enough depth of field to cover the length to both sides and the edge. Worst case the edge is slightly out of focus. It’s probably the least relevant anyway.

@foone funnily enough, just this weekend I was pondering if I wanted to make a website to track which states had the crazier laws around that. Eventually decided I didn’t want to run afoul of the DEA from those crazy Nancy Reagan “Just Say No” era rules.

@foone I may have a couple of that same unit. 320kb total. Iirc it had 5 64kb flash chips on it and pads for 8 total on the pcb. Super cheap branded trade show swag just big enough for a pdf brochure or a flash app. I was surprised they were actually writeable, rather than requiring off board prom flashers.

@foone we used to have a vending machine on my college campus with floppies, both sizes, with 3 1/2 formatted either dos or mac and printout claim cards. I’m sure these days it sells usb memory sticks and charging cables.

@foone it was just a beat up old snack vending machine, nothing fancy.

@foone it’s like that scene near the end of contact. “What’s impressive is not that the image is all black, it’s that it is 2.4 gigapixels of all black.”

@foone this is the ultimate embodiment of the old joke about “works on my machine” bugs and shipping their machine to production.

@foone I have such fond memories of getting C64 games that way back in the 80s.

Hey my fellow elePHPant herders... how do you document the case where a trait implements an entire interface? One of our engineers put a bunch of `@implements` tags in, which @phpstan then lead them down the bogus path of expecting those to be generics... so we ended up with "@implements PSR\LoggingInterface<PSR\LoggingInterace>" that made stan happy, but confused everything/one else. I'm currently thinking something like "@see PSR\LoggingInterface which this trait fulfills". #php

@ricci or that don’t use short cuts. At all. Every single operation involves going to the menu bar and searching for the right option.

@foone my original pi2 or pi3 and the power supply I used with it was fine until you pushed the cpu with any kind of taxing compute job longer than 30 seconds or so…. Then it complained of under voltage. A swapped to a new no name supply and it dropped that to 5 seconds or less… third try was an Apple brick that would only rarely complain if I really pushed it hard for prolonged periods.
