       @TetZoo Perhaps it was just Mastodon using the browser alerts feature? It allows websites to push various notifications even if you don't have a tab opened with it.

       Nothing says confidence in your own sysadmin skills by doing `apt upgrade; restart` remotely on your home server when you cannot get home for two days to fix anything if it doesn't come back online. ;-)
