Because there's no device address, the I2C address is just the word address (here "word" is 8-bits, so it's the address of a byte). So this is all you need to read the whole thing from `glasgow repl i2c-initiator`:(await iface.read(0, 128)).tobytes()Dump that to a file and you get:

I've written a little checklist for my PCB projects. A list of things commonly forgotten or overlooked, that I can check over before submitting a board for manufacturing. I figured it would be useful to share. https://dominionofawesome.com/vca/electrical-design-checklist/Comments, additions, thoughts? #electronics

Here is the schematic for the Microsoft two-button PS/2 mouse version 2.1A.

It's not a particularly interesting mouse, but you can definitely see the relationship to the Intellimouse. For my purposes it's quite convenient. All of the quadrature sensors already have 10K pull-downs, the LEDs are powered directly from VCC, and the mouse buttons are active low.The real weird part about this mouse is the IC is a whopping 20 pins. Some of it is obviously redundant - DAT and CLK take two pins each. And some are bafflingly redundant - one phototransistor in each sensor has an extra path to the chip through a 91K resistor. I don't know why you would need that. Two of them are for an external clock resonator, which I haven't seen in other mice. Compared to other designs (particularly Logitech's), this is an overly complicated design.

@foone I would assume. I did some datasheet digging and it looks like it was introduced in the TUSB4020/4041. And they've carried the bug all the way to their newest USB3 TUSB8044.

@foone I think if you go as far as double buffering you may as well use a queue/channel.

@foone My Ender 3 has a fairly dished bed. Manual mesh bed leveling was a pain in the ass, but it solved pretty much all my bed adhesion problems.

@nina_kali_nina @foone @millihertz Wikipedia has the deets (weirdly in the article for the Sony SMC-70: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_SMC-70).> When the SMC-70 was released in 1982, the disk drives (OA-D30V) were capable of reading both the Sony standard disks (OM-D3310) and the future Microfloppy Industry Committee standard (though only the first 70 tracks under Sony's release of CP/M 2.2). An updated disk drive was released (the OA-D31V) that had the capability of opening a spring-loaded disk shutter (these drives were labeled with "Auto Shutter" on the drive to alert the user that it was not necessary to open the disk shutter on disks with a spring-loaded shutter prior to inserting a disk). Sony released an updated floppy disk based on the new standards (OM-D3320) that is compatible with both the SMC-70 and contemporary computers.

@foone What I usually find is someone has made the thing I want but there’s something I don’t like about it so I make my own anyway. 😆

@foone Does the touch screen keyboards on these LCD terminals count? https://youtu.be/WSnk5ZbrWAo(Surely there have been some Industrial/PoS touch keyboards for DOS too)

@foone “run the USB” as in control the data pins? USB data levels *are* 3.3V. It’s only power that’s 5V.

@foone The main problem is you have to use a CRT to produce the X-rays.

@foone I learned from the pixel art folks that it works better on social media (or anywhere that pre-processes uploads) when you upscale by 3 or 4x first.

@foone @gloriouscow I understand USB has a maximum of 127 devices, per controller. So depending on how many slots and on-board USB hosts you have... probably thousands.

@vacuumbeef Can orca write arbitrary cells? I’m imagining some mechanism that continually marches to the right extending this off to infinity.

@vacuumbeef Yeah. What I was thinking of was like the head of a self-replicating tape. It draws itself longer and longer, triggered by when the snake eats something. Like, using the play field as a way to store self-replicating delay counter. That would be pretty insane. Was just curious how possible it is.
