Determining value depends on one's opinion wrt motives. Rules are more objective and determine wrongful or permissible actions. Considering Good and Bad relies on motive and that is not helpful in this case. If an actor has to be required to submit to proving his motives, or that his actions are in line with certain motives, this imo is not a helpful rule.

I'm quite liking Friendica as a platform where I can near-seamlessly read and interact with content coming in from Pleroma, Diaspora, Friendica, Plume, WriteFreely. Adding contacts is a polished process.. very nice. I hear everywhere else that Hubzilla serves this role for other people. Testing this and the preliminary results are interesting. One needs a little time to learn how to set things up and then to add contacts in Hubzilla. But so far, so good!

@icedquinn @galena @freemo @pthenq1 In some legal systems, a notice has to be issued in reasonable time. This notice grants opens up the option for another authority to assume the role of prosecutor. This is a modern safeguard against the situation where the state refuses to investigate, gather evidence and then says 'we aren't prosecuting on the grounds of insufficient evidence'. I'm not a lawyer either btw but this is the situation in South Africa at least.
