Going off about my favorite superhero: Because the formula only works for people meaning to do good (which is why the same treatment created Red Skull), Steve Rogers' superpower is literally the strength of his own belief. In Infinity War, Cap is the only Avenger to get back up and fight Thanos a second time as he tries for the last stone. Thanos has that quick surprised look because Cap is matching the near-infinite strength of the fucking power of creation
