@Rasp we lie a lot to the playerin this case it's to make sure they don't softlock themselves bc some important item or resource that they should've gotten was interrupted due to i.e. a game reset or some other thing

@Rasp @Natasha_Jay yeah, hard agree on thisI technically use any pronouns and like, any means any, not "keep using the same you always used for me", or "choose one once and use it forever"I've taken to keep changing it tactically to see if I can get people to get used to changing it out of literal conditioning

@Rasp @Natasha_Jay this sucks so much, I'm really sorry that you're going through thisalso, thanks for sharing it, I try to stress exactly this kind of thing to people, i.e. "no, it's not good enough to only add a 3rd androgynous body type in your character creator and call that inclusion for nb people & be done with it", and same with pronouns, but the pushback is relentless, and hearing accounts like this gives me reason to keep at it and not back down

@Rasp @Natasha_Jay yup, that's the pointthe body types shouldn't be gendered, and it's much more inclusive and engaging if you give people the ability to mix and match characteristics, or better yet, add some sliders.while at it, leave the voice pitch and pronouns / way you're addressed as a free choice as well, not tied to one packagebut instead of doing the thing at once, we have to fight tooth & nail for every single inch

That one learned from its interactions, unlike this one that is trained first then served as-is.It's still unclear what they trained this language model on, as they don't specify what they scraped from the web to build it. There's a couple of court cases going on regarding this because they claim they can use all this data as "fair use". I hope the court cases at least force them to publish what they've been scraping.
