@miup I've had a more reliable experience using Arch and rolling release distros, the only issue I've had with Arch was me filling up /tmp and running pacman -Syu which couldn't finished setting up grub. Meanwhile I've had to reinstall Debian/Ubuntu distros over again because something broke. Although Debian seems to be more reliable than Ubuntu.

@miup Hmm, maybe it was from the hardware I was using at the time (~2007 hardware, q6600, 4Gb ddr2, nvidia gt 630). It may also have been I was much more of a novice when I used Debian (Only used Ubuntu for ~ a month) so I was more prone to break things. To be fair to my Arch install, I don't update it all that frequently, usually once a month. I don't do very advanced things with my installs either, mostly web, games, super light coding, running headless servers, and experimenting with proxies infosec and network security. I usually use cli software as well which I would think to be less likely to break. Although, overall, I do enjoy the experience Arch gives me. From the cli installer to the blank slate and amazing wiki. It's really easy for me to make a machine light weight only having what it needs on it. I really haven't had any issues other than maybe one or two with a rolling release though. Now thinking about it, most of my issues before were probably novice issues I could fix now.

It's so weird that it's become uncommon to be kind to others. I was coming out of the supermarket and passed by a lady with an empty basket obviously waiting to return it. She was really surprised when I offered to take it back for her. It didn't impose me much as I was already headed past the cart return. It sucks how political and antisocial everyone has become.

All I really use Discord for nowadays is the text chat. It's a really nice way of setting it up. I've had countless issues with voice chat recently that I was able to convince a friend to use mumble instead. We had 100% no issues after that. If mumble had text chat like riot or discord along with a simpler microphone setup for super novice users, I bet the only people would be those who don't have the time or money for a dedicated server.

@bespectacled_fuzz It's supposed to locally cache things protect from tracking yes. Although it's cached 0 items since I've installed it. I'll give it a little longer but it's probably not going to stay in my browser for much longer.

I've been playing around with the UI in kawen.space and so far the only issue I have is with the lack of two-factor, that I could find anyway. Otherwise I'll just have to think of a better password for the account.

@bespectacled_fuzz I haven't found a password manager I've liked. I also like knowing every password for all of my accounts. I do know that I can have custom passwords in most if not all password managers as well. When I do start using a password manager it'll definitely have to be one with a database I can host on my server and one with plenty of app/applications and addons for everything that requires a password. But for now, I'll remember my passwords.
