Hey! Well I have some days off work so am kinda chilling out. Learning a bit of Common Lisp. I have a plan to write a minimalist fedi server but having some trouble choosing the language to write it in. But kinda liking Lisp. Also cut my hair in the bathroom and watched some episodes of The Strain πWhat are you up to?

(I was under the impression Xerox PARC invented many of these things but it was actually done at Stanford)"'The Mother of All Demos' [1968] was a landmark computer demonstration, named retroactively, of developments by Stanford Research Institute's Augmentation Research Center...The 90-minute live demonstration featured the introduction of a complete computer hardware and software system called the oN-Line System or, more commonly, NLS, which demonstrated for the first time many of the fundamental elements of modern personal computing, including windows, hypertext, graphics, efficient navigation and command input, video conferencing, the computer mouse, word processing, dynamic file linking, revision control, and a collaborative real-time editor.Engelbart's presentation was the first to publicly demonstrate all of these elements in a single system. The demonstration was highly influential and spawned similar projects at Xerox PARC in the early 1970s"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mother_of_All_Demos

LED bulbs are supposed to last this long, but sometimes there are manufacturing defects. I bought some a while back, one instantly let out smoke and died, the shop gave me a replacement, it and the others are still going strong over a decade later π
