@edendestroyer @Apan @mnl perhaps so, but I’m not keen on the idea that every artist I listen to is entitled to know anything at all about me. Saying Spotify doesn’t tell every single band who I am isn’t souring me on it.

Something to consider reading #AppleVisionPro first looks: Do you remember who slammed the iPhone? Yes. Do you remember who praised the Newton? No.The reputation cost of being wrong is far worse if you pan something that turns out to be a hit. So there’s a career incentive to praise a product you’re unsure about, especially from the world’s biggest consumer tech company.

@leo I can’t argue with that.I work remotely on my laptop all the time, and I’d love a huge display on my face like @MikeElgan suggested in his recent article, but can I use it for more than an hour without fatigue? If this thing gets uncomfortable to use after a even 3-4 hours, it isn’t something I can use professionally.Also, I’m not sure I want to “be that guy” with the $3500 face goggles.

@dave @davew That’s absolutely insane. Like completely. A simple “no politics at work” rule was and is common sense. And boycotting a company for a simple standard that all verdant societies maintain to basically keep the peace (no politics or religion at work) to me underscores the absolutely ridiculousness of our times.
