Stąd, to o czym piszesz to mieszanka ludzkiej psychologii i skutecznego marketingu. Coś analogicznego do skoków dopaminy przy pojawianiu się powiadomień w social mediach.

OK, a little comeback to #DailyPythonista. What I've noticed is that a lot of people don't really know about the `pathlib.Path` class which is really useful for dealing with OS-wide paths. In most cases it's easier to use and cleaner that `os.path`, it also provides a nice syntax for creating new paths. It's built-in and looks nice. Why not start using it now? For more, see here: https://docs.python.org/3/library/pathlib.html#module-pathlib#Python #programming

@stfn Yeah, back in the days when public link shorteners were not yet considered as used for scams mainly :D

@stfn Funny that we live in an everything-online world with streaming-first approach in most media, so piracy becomes the only way to remain access to something you got access to, or something you paid for. 🏴‍☠️

@stfn Out of curiosity, in which program do you write your posts? Is it some IDE and markdown combo, or something more specific?

@collectifission @stfn This stuff got serious, even some sociological papers were published on the topic. It’s one of the aspects of generation gap in Poland. It’s fun to watch all these memes, and then watch reactions to them on the public. Like, IIRC on some gaming event dudes started singing „Barka” (pope’s fav song) at 21:37 for fun, and one of politicians unironically commented that this is beautiful that young people feel so much respect to John Paul II.

@stfn @collectifission Yeah, the cult of pope was pretty strong in 00s. And one thing that may have triggered this meme is making it commercial, like putting pope everywhere (eg. souvenirs from some random town, alleged „pope was here” places and so on). Fun fact here is that the absurdity on which the whole meme was based, had been created mostly by people who seriously respected pope. But seemingly, it was never understood by them.

@stfn From what I heard, many people after such certifications don’t really have the knowledge. They only want to pass the exam and then try to pass some job interviews. Hence, learning might be quite different from passing the exam.

@stfn Neat, saving for reference because I see that many people don’t realize how much typing was enhanced since 3.8 🐍

@stfn Neat thing is that it may make it possible to completely avoid using mocks in unit tests. And other thing, if you use a bit of abstraction you can vary connection types - I did something like this to make it possible to perform the same operations with serial and SSH connections depending on whatever is needed ;)

@stfn About the first part of the post - I was thinking quite a lot about things getting political, and agree with what you say. Even more, I would say that everything might be political, because politics is a lens that you can look through on different things. The trick is not to overuse that lens, as many people do nowadays (and they’re always outraged that X is woke or Y is sexist). So, sometimes it’s simply better to not get engaged with all of that.

@stfn About far-right politics - IIRC it was Harari who noticed that generation of politicians who lived during WW2 now is almost all gone. We have politicians who live in pretty peaceful times and now have perspective which makes them demand more and more for their countries. It’s sensible to some point, but take it too far and here we go 1939 once again. That’s the thing that politicians seem to not understand.
