Google sent a letter to my home asking me to install extreme surveillanceware on my (degoogled) cell phone in exchange for less than a minimum wage's worth of "rewards". I believe it was addressed to my father but I don't know.Creepy shit. Going to scan it for my blog just incase and then throw it in the trash. It is a good thing I am home alone so I am handling the mail today.

I trust Proton more than Nord etc. but yeah like any "privacy" provider that gets too big they eventually fall off. I wouldn't use them to do anything I don't want my local glowie looking at. I use them more for email, VPNs are 100% overrated and impractical in most cases regardless of who's running them. I do have my own Maddy server and an Underworld mail inbox too to keep things compartmentalized.CC: @phnt@fluffytail.org

Very usable, but you have to get over the hurdle of figuring out good FVWM keybinds first. I'd recommend wmaker instead for an average joe. Some jank with Xinerama (menus appearing on the wrong monitor), xinput (cursor snapping), general Motif shenanigans and interface bugs needing soft-restarts which there is a convenient button for. The upside is you get a really good theming engine and prettymuch everything can be changed.

My RTX 4070 was 600 dollars new and now it's over 900. 64 GB of DDR4 RAM is about 500 dollars on average, was 100 or 200.Luckily, the drives I continue to buy to hold onto my archives are all mechanical and optical drives, so I haven't been hit there.

Does anyone symlink their ~/.cache/ to a tmpfs? Is it worth trying? I have zero need for it to be persistent, at all, and I'd like to stop thinking about it every time I go cleaning.

In MYTHOS I have opted to expose only the underlying Allegro transforms and create ways to manage them better rather than create a proper camera system built-in like what is necessary in most 3D engines. I do not want to complicate any perspective tricks that might rely on transforms, since changes to the transform the GPU is working with are relative to the previous transform. Without some two-step BS to control the order camera transforms are applied to each entity it would quickly become a headache for a small few developers.

Originally conceived as a sort of "hammerspace" for lone entities to perform helper tasks, the Agenda system allows MYTHOS developers to take control of the core rendering loop for things like camera control, HUDs and fullscreen post processing.
