       Even as a fairly long time #emacs user (~4 years) I still only have a superficial knowledge of any #lisp dialect. I know just enough to make minor changes to my .init file, and mostly use other people's code. What're some good resources to learn lisp for real? And which one should I try for?

       I just watched the 1995 movie #Hackers for the first time (I'm utterly hopeless, I know) and it was an wild ride. I really enjoyed the crazy over-the-top visual computing. It reminded me of descriptions in #Neuromancer, and probably that's what the designers intended. What I loved most was the costume design- again, totally over-the-top 90s punk. Maybe I need to incorporate a little more leopard print in my own wardrobe... and buy some roller-blades!
