@elementals @anna coming from an immune compromised person (who also can't get out in public because of a lack of protections):This so fucking muchI'm more or less in forced-isolation since the entirety because people just stopped giving a shit about each other, and being immuncomprimised just means that covid (or even the flue) is practically a certain death sentence for me..Yet, I'm still forced to explain my parents over and over again to mask, how to wear masks, they they should fit..

@cody oh, yeah, technologyshould serve the people, I just personally came to the conclusion that western society has stopped asking "should we" while kept pushing the "could we" and I have simply no trust in the system of ever being able to have a proper/good implementation of this.Especially do I have no trust in it as it being sold as mandatory.1/2

@cody I just think some forms of technology can be bent for good, but some technology (ie. ai, mass surveillance (which eID kinda is), etc) just can not be "done good" 2/2

@cody idk I just can see just from my current situation, too disabled to be able to work anymore, forced-retired because of it, I already live in a very limited life and this entire eID stuff and electronic health insurance files stuff just seems.. not good to say it kindly..idk maybe my priorities are more towards better accessibiltiy for disabled people to get doctors appointments/therapy, better public transport/disability accessible cities, less fossil fuels..1/2

@cody like I'm not "Against Tech just because" I just simply think there are way more important issues europe faces (project fortress europe, the EU's participation with israel in its genocide, the capitalist system in its entirety, the EU vassal position towards the US, rise of fascist partys within the EU, its members and the EU parliament/commission..) that needs more important fixes than *gestures at this eID stuff*
