@Goalkeeper @ChristiJunior western comics have the "forever young" setup. Reimu in Touhou is never going to grow up, for example, and a similar standard applies with those comics: Spider-Man will always be a struggling college-age student because that's what his story embodies. shounen doesn't have that excuse, since there is no "status quo" to be kept: Naruto will grow up and have Boruto, and Deku is going to be "the greatest hero" from day one. if MHA was just the episodic adventures and not "here's the endgame from the start but let's meander for several seasons" then it would have turned out a lot better

it'd really be a disservice to not start with a Mr Freeze highlight. dude is THE king of cold, you'd be hard-pressed to think of a freeze ray without at least a moment of thought directed his way. couple that with his tragic reality and there's a reason he's so beloved.

after that I have to bring up Sub-Zero. Mortal Kombat is iconic for so many reasons, and Sub-Zero's probably the second most iconic member of the roster. strikingly colorful and brutal to the end, he's inspired countless depictions of ninjas for over thirty years.

he's not as popular as the others, but I'm partial to Killer Instinct's Glacius. an alien that took the form of the icy climate he landed in, he can disappear into the ice for special moves and comboes, which is really neat. I also like his themes, his 1995 theme is solid electronic and his modern theme is Mick Gordon trying his hand at dubstep.
