@sirCorrect, but figure out where the bottleneck is is a non trivial task. Thats why performance engineering should be present from the start to the end of larger software or infrastucture projects.

@sirThanks for such a great project. I swichted recently from i3 to sway and it works seamless.I just have the issue that after swayidle disables my screen it resumes with a wrong resolution. Maybe its just a config thing.

@sir Petition to rename Dbus to wayland and wayland to bus1 and bus1 to kdbus and kdbus to sysV IPC. And repeat that multiple times ... thats how IPC on Linux feels.

@sirBut it's not just the services people who talk in memes to each other are rather stupid. But the worst are the clients! If I need a browser to chat because fu**ing matrix bullshit does not have a single usable client. And get rid of this electron bullshit ... I will certainly NOT install a whole browser just to be able to sending text messages.

@sirIf I look at the name of linux foundation events. I know on the first look that they sell shit in computer-flavour. But honestly nearly every computer science event at leas in the us is a fucking capitalist bullshit cock sucker event. Please correct me if I am wrong. But cool events like fosdem, chaos communication congress, or smaller events serve much more quality and less business bullshit.

@sirIts much harder to follow a discusion on a github issue. If a maintainer fork happens all is lost. Following a thread on an mailing list is easy. I don't get it. Github simply does not scale.

@wolf480pl @sir It does what enterprise platforms always do. It make simple things simpler and harder things impossible or expensive, to bind naiv users to there platform. And of course that works.

@vidakI read a lot of mimimi but no solution. Its harder to change things fundamentally then in the mid 80's ... so what you say is true in some sense but don't show any solution. Maybe we should also get rid of POSIX where this all rely on? Maybe even x86? The programming language and this few million lines of code are the smallest problems we have in my opinion.

@vidakThats good! Changing this might much more valuable then just talking about programming languages. Programming is just the craft but we need new directions in how we design things. But thats much harder then implementing the same old shit in some hip new programming language.
