@stux Yes, and he supported Hamas to undermine Fatah. Eventually ignoring intelligence that could have mitigated the October attack.

@interfluidity It's hard to make someone understand something, when their income depends on not understanding it.(Not my quote)

@Radical_EgoCom The problem with traditional communist parties is the lack of empirical rigor. They have never been concrete about their objectives and reconciling their activity against results.Communism is meaningless if it is only defined in contrast to capitalism.

@stux What is ridiculous is that the government does not require a background check for the president. This is a long standing vulnerability that was the theme of the book/film Manchurian Candidate.

@Radical_EgoCom The value chain in Capitalism is biased toward extracting value from the organization (farm, factory, etc) to an external share holder. So there is no feedback loop to support investment back into the organization. That is why, under capitalism, workers are recorded as an expense and accounting does not have a way to record the benefits of improvements or maintenance. So a switch with no transitions does not take into consideration these adjustments (which are micro economics)

@Radical_EgoCom Yes, and I think that the word "held" is frequently misinterpreted, as is the word social.Means of production are not a monolithic entity, but instead complex systems of smaller systems. The expertise to operate them is not eventually distributed, and the feedback loops to measure success are currently biased to favor the capitalist.#Socialism fails when it conflates ownership with management and simply redirects the profit to a different bank account.Socialism succeeds

@Radical_EgoCom OK, I completely understand why you won't take my word for this; What I have been trying to say is: the industrial model was developed prior to an understanding of #complexity and what we currently refer to as #capitalism and #communism both fail to reconcile the chaotic aspect of complex systems. The pattern is similar to what happens with newtonian physics, where certain rules apply until we get to very small things, then we apply a different way of thinking.

@Radical_EgoCom We can defeat fascism in 2024 if we follow the French example and unite behind a candidate instead of letting maga run the "divide and conquer" playbook on us.
