@ruud very glad to see this stance.I was saying the other day that I think server level blocking is a potential risk to the fediverse, and unless a server exists purely to spread hate, illegal content etc... then server/domain level blocking should be a choice made by individual users, rather than applied server wide because admins have had a falling out about something.Happy I chose this instance! 😁

I'm somewhat skeptical that many large instance admins, who federate with #Meta Threads, will later be willing to Fediblock them if it turns out they *are* up to no good.#Threads is going to be a user/data silo, basically a #Fediverse mega hub, so a lot of people are going to form connections on there. Will large instance admins risk alienating a large portion of their user base by severing those connections? Especially after they have invested in infrastructure. #FediblockMeta

@aral It's far too easy for billionaires to convince people that the only reason they aren't billionaires themselves is because of socialism/immigrants/unions/minimum wages (Delete as appropriate). So then you get everyone too busy fighting amongst themselves to actually pay attention.Although that's just human nature for you, especially when you consider that our *preferred* system of government relies on 50% of the (voting) population not wanting (or manipulated into wanting) evil.
