@stux I'll credit it to trade and Internet having no boarders. Perhaps even the early history of internet plays a small role in promoting it for common use online.

@stux do people not know they can block anything they want themselves? The option is there, filter it out. https://docs.joinmastodon.org/user/moderating/#block-domain

@stux I think blockchain tech is amazing.certain people[grifters] got a lot of VC's existed over crypto and these VC's backed these companies with little to no oversight. And here we are, people are not actually being charged with fraud.

@stux I have had the opportunity to assist with police work a few times, I've spoken to these people and they don't need back doors in software, they need resources, and people to keep up with the world.Governments need to provide security agencies enough resources to hire and train people to do proper through transparent investigative work. Back door for "good guy" is also a back door for the "bad guy". Software can't be selectivity insecure.

@stux This is a good example of why governments end up making laws/policies that erode personal privacy and security of individuals, the gate keepers of social media, don't even bother pluck out the visible bad actors. The easy to go after stuff.

@stux you're right to worry about this. USA and their foreign policies have global impact, literal government has "changed" over US comments or lack of commitment in some areas. Its not just trump, all presidential candidates seeking GOP approval have either said they will not "support this war" or didn't comments otherwise.
