Yesterday my new keyboard, a Keychron K2 arrived and so far I am really enjoying the experience. Hot swappable switches (I've got red for now), simple white LED backlight, Bluetooth connection to three devices and a 4000mAh battery. My old, cheaper mechanical keyboards were ok, but this is a much better typing experience.

@kyle Tinkercad is a great way to introduce the topic. I use it for my projects.

I spent a little time this week using @circuitpython and a @Raspberry_Pi Pico and an @adafruit Trinkey RP2040 to make a mouse jiggler. More for fun than slacking off work. https://www.tomshardware.com/how-to/diy-mouse-jiggler-raspberry-pi-pico

This is so cool. A 386 PC (no really) as a handheld in 2023. They've even got a tiny 8088 laptop. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/hand-386-handheld

Today is my three year anniversary at Tom's Hardware. I've written countless @Raspberry_Pi and SBC reviews and tutorials (for 10 years adding freelance to the total) . Edited so many news stories, co-hosted 120+ The Pi Cast shows and overall I've tried to be a good team member. :)

Sorry I've not been around much. Work is still ongoing with our home. All of the drainage work and concreting is now done. Front of house drainage is being sorted on Monday. Another week and we can start work on putting the living room floor back down. Clean down the room, new carpet and then put the furniture back in the room. My goal is to have the downstairs sorted by mid July.

@dick_turpin I hope not. The stress sent me to the Dr's. Just finished my tension headache tablet course. Had a headache for two weeks, a week of tablets has remedied it.

We tried out a new format for Tom's Hardware: The Pi Cast last night. Using a "magazine" format we had news, reviews and projects to talk about, and had more interactions with our viewers. Not everything went smoothly, I missed a few cues, but for a first test, it went well.https://youtu.be/dORlWG9vB28

I was doing the washing up this morning and I had a thought. No it wasn't "I should've pre-soaked this pan", rather it was about being a maker. You see, I've not made anything for a long time. My blog https://bigl.es has been dormant for a while and I either don't have the time to make, there are pressing home jobs to do, or I don't have the energy. Can I still call myself a maker? I think so. I need some making time soon. My programming skills are getting rather rusty.

@dick_turpin That is true. I don't have first hand experience, but I understand the meaning. :)

Day 16 of #makeradvent and after day 15 I needed a rest. So, what better way to relax than designing a 3D printed charging station for my new electronic screwdriver?https://youtu.be/qx2ax3taLS0

Installing Windows XP, in a VM, so that I can use a serial connection between my Psion 3a and laptop. Goal is to install software on the Psion 3a using Psiwin. If anyone knows of a Linux alternative, please share.
