@lain thanks for doing what you do. I really like the design philosophy you have been pursuing with pleroma. That's all. Now let me continue to be a mostly silent observer on the sidelines. There are probably a lot of people with similar thoughts who can't be bothered to speak up. Thought I'd break the pattern, just this once.

@theremin would you rather they made shitty looking, inexpensive things?

@thor Many of the high volume posters could indeed be bundled into that category (while they vehemently plead their individual exceptionalism)

#BespokeSynth is a delightful open source music synthesizer.I am an absolute musical idiot, but I've finally managed to compose something that I can listen to more than once.(Originally inspired by @uint8_t tooting about something similar)

Late to the party, but decided to participate in #lovebytetcc in order. Let's pretend that this bird's eye view of a christmas tree is my entry for day 1. 1024 bytes of #fennel code in #tic80.

Still playing catch-up with #lovebytetcc. The task for day 3 was a per-pixel effect. I found the 128 byte challenge to be a bit too constraining but I'm fairly pleased with how my abstract chain of fairy lights in 256 bytes of #fennel on the #tic80 turned out. (Full code listing in the video description)

The same code with slightly changed parameters produces a nice frosty effect. (Full #tic80 listing in the video description)#lovebytetcc #fennel

@thor I can relate. For me, it helped to keep a full blown bullet journal to keep my goals in focus. (And to get the rest of my life into some sort of order. The guy who invented the bullet method has severe ADHD himself and he gets it.)

PSA: There seems to be a host of stable #kindle #jailbreak s out there. If you, like me, have an older Kindle lying around, don't let it connect to Amazon for the latest firmware updates. Instead, head over to https://kindlemodding.org/jailbreaking/kindle-models.html and follow the instructions.Only took a few minutes in my case :3

@SuperDicq @jae I think https://pine64.org/devices/pinenote/ is worth watching. Not released yet. That said, you could do worse than looking for a used Kobo or Pocketbook. https://koreader.rocks/ reportedly has excellent support for both, without requiring a jailbreak...

@ohanamatsumae to put a different reader app on there that supports many more file formats (like epub for instance). Not all of us buy our ebooks through amazon...

@ohanamatsumae I am aware of this, but I also like the other features of the open source koreader app.

@blinry It really is like a secret.I love moonshine hikes. I like them best when I rely on my night vision alone. With time I was able to shake the ingrained fear of something jumping out from the shadows to get me.A plain hazel staff as walking stick, maybe 1,5m in length, goes a long way towards feeling safer. Helps a lot with footing in the woods. Totally underrated tool.Of course I sometimes flash my phone LED at scary looking wild beasts that turn out to be tree stumps or bushes...
