@hund @fribbledom that's a shame, it is roughly the cost of a preonic

@fribbledom @hund thanks, the result is great, it looks harder to build than it actually is

@matt my daughters are now part of my home IT support staff (ie: for my wife) :D they started coding with me around 10. For any parents who want to teach, mob programming or hard pairing works like a charm.

@djsumdog @cbowdon pair programming is one of the best way to learn. hard though if the pair does not match or needs practice at it. Even experienced coders are not good at it at first.Doing pair programming and mob programming almost every day with my 6 coders team and it takes a least 2 weeks of practice to becoming more fluid

@cbowdon @djsumdog exactly, the one at the keyboard should do what the other is saying. I usually do something like: the driver (at the keyboard) listen to the navigator (not at the kbd). Nav start describing the intent, if needed the location, and if needed details. Change seat every 5 minutes and don't pair for more than 2 hours. Every x cycles, stop and discuss ways that work and areas to improve.

@cbowdon @djsumdog to my experience, the disruptive approach is what makes it work. Everyone is focus on the same goal and the solution is built collectively.

Greetings allConvinced myself to register here. Was actually @ChrisWere latest video :)I'm a software developer for the last 30 years (started when I was 8). I play/build/fix electronic things.I started using Linux in 96. Slackware on floppies (an insane amount of floppies), then switched to debian late 90s. At home, I use Debian and Arch. I use linux at work on servers and on my way to convince management that linux is acceptable as a desktop OS.#introductions

@architect consider all social media as well. This is one of the scenario I find job specific platform and social media worth it.

@OpenComputeDesign @hundI disagree with your approach.Internet is there to stay. No matter what you do, they will use it at friend, school, library.Since you are tech savvy, educate them well around the good the bad and the ugly of the internet. They actually will be part of the solution if we do this well and trust or kids. @ozoned
