       I don't know how to convince the people in my life that plastic things are a burden I have no interest in accepting. I don't like throwing anything away because I know that "away" is just someone else's backyard. Most plastic isn't made for keeping

       Someone is probably already doing this, but it occurs to me that a mutual aid shuttle service with white drivers would be really helpful for protecting folks targeted by ICE.        I am going to be away from home when my current prescription runs out. (Yay for me that I'm currently organized enough to notice in advance!)The pharmacy will not fill the script before I leave and told me to get a *paper* prescription from my doctor like it's 1999Doctor's office will send me a new (electronic) script, but not until I'm closer to the refill date. And I have to remember to CALL them to get it. Which is my kryptonite.BRB setting ALL the reminders & leaning on spouse's help

       My child's homework tonight included the question "Is lead normally a gas or a metal?"I, a chemist, am melting from the inside at the misconceptions inherent in that question, which is supposedly helping my kid practice their vocabularyFor non-chemists: Metal is an entirely different classification from solid/liquid/gas. Lead is still a metal even if you vaporize it. It's like asking if apples are usually red or fruit
