A story that will be familiar to a lot of people on here, but on Twitter, there was a couple, Bella and Jane, both trans women. @ruud @stevo @mservais @jtmusson @Ignas @paul @KTR @Sodfabasha ...and that's totally your choice, but when you're open to paedo,. anti-trans, racist and far right servers, you're hardly a safe destination for many of the people who come here to get away from all that nonsense. I can only look out for my community, but that would mean that I just would avoid recommending and advise any trans person to migrate ASAP (as I have done several times)

@ruud @stevo Sorry, I missed this - mastodon.social's list is pretty useful - we've just kept track of tag fediblock then checked each one out ourselves - oftentimes they're very low number servers maintained by dodgy people.

@freemo @ufoi Hiya,I'll monitor things, but my concern would be that, like has happened before, the 'gender critical' anti-trans types would do the 'we just have concerns' (great!) and 'we just believe in the immutability of sex' (feel free!) then once they have any stand, they're all for removing trans rights, removing trans healthcare, harassment of us at any opportunity and pushing trans panic.They use the same tactics as the US religious right orgs.

Is being 'trans' a biological condition? Probably, like we keep on finding differences between cisgender and transgender populations in biological research. It's messy and that's likely because it's not just one 'thing' that makes an individual trans and that the underlying genderfuckery doesn't necessarily manifest itself.Do you fear such research..and if so, why?
