@Debradelai @7of7 DJT is a master of persuasion. He can delegitimize the Biden presidency and further strengthen his base. Can flip the house and senate in 2022 and then regain the presidency in 2024. Trump can continue to fly around the country and hold rallies 5x larger than Biden. We will essentially have two presidents at the same time. Republicans will still have their DJT as president. He is truly unstoppable..

@umad80 @ThomasWic @carolinacally It's not about preaching to the choir but in a 48/52 split country it comes down to convincing the undecided voter and the black vote. Democrats have had the back vote for a long time. If you want Republicans to beat the Democrats they need the black vote. If a bunch of people identify themself as a group and use social pressure among their group peers to vote in a particular way then politicians have to appeal to that group to get their (deciding) vote.

@umad80 @ThomasWic @carolinacally It is a well known persuasion tactic to get people to listen to you you first present a common identity or feature for them to feel related to you. If I am buying a truck to go fishing and the sales man tells me about a fishing trip he was just on, I may be more inclined to buy the truck from him. Truth is he has probably never been fishing.

@umad80 @CapeCodGirl @ThomasWic @carolinacally Forget race for a second. It's about finding something of common ground to identify yourself with someone else. Once that common ground is established then you're more likely to get the other person to listen to you or get them to do what you want. Sometimes people in conversation use an accent or use particular words that the other person uses (knowing where they're from) to get them to feel comfortable with you. Then they listen to you.

Another example: the car sales man offers you a bottle of water as you enter the sales room. He's not trying to be nice. If you accept then you feel he has done you a favor. You now have a slightly higher obligation to do a favor in return for him. You will now subconsciously (not knowingly) be more inclined to say YES to his offer. It's salesman tactics...

They actually hire persuasion professionals to teach them how to act, smile, walk, dress, talk like politicians. Kamala Harris also had plastic surgery, changed her smile (from first running for Pres until her VP pick) and underwent training how to look more presidential.

@StevenDouglas @REX Trump doesn't need Social Media. He will continue to fly around the country in his 747 and hold rallies with 10's of thousands of people in airport hangers, just like he did when he was POTUS. If they successfully impeach he will become a martyr, and MAGA will win house+senate. If impeachment fails they have egg on their face and proof of the clown show they are. Trump will use it as a political tool on his rally tour.

@carolinacally @stephanieanne @Debradelai 1/2I grew up in the town of Gander Newfoundland. I remember the Arrow airplane crash well. Small town of 10k people and the big plane crashed just 100 yards in front of the lake. If it took off over town it would have wiped the whole town out. It was not ice on the wings as media claimed. It was a bomb. It was a clear morning and the plane landed, refueled and took off again before there was frost to accumulate on the wings.
