Holy crap! This client had a fake Microsoft Recovery screen show on startup 😳. Even came with a fake BitLocker screen afterward. Looked almost legit, if you don’t know what to look for…#IT #Security #MSP #Scams #Malware

@not_benis The Recovery screen wasn’t even close to real. But enough to scare normal folk. The Bitlocker screen afterward was more convincing.

Since we’re shutting down #AllThingsTech, I’ll be find another home. I’m looking for one that's not large like Mastodon.social or anything similar, an instance that is run by a great admin and great moderators, has a post character limit of at least 1,500 characters and hopefully poll option limits of 8 - 10 or more. If you know any instance that fits those requirements, please let me know. I'm open for suggestions from all of you as I'd love to find the best place to call home.
