       @futurebird Thought we were alone on a major avenue with the uptick in ambulance sirens.Almost as if there is more need for emergency medical transport of late.If only EMS Dispatch data were updated more than annually.

       @futurebird If reading this correctly, the faux pas is not so much the word as the speech act.In another era, it might have been gauche to observe out loud when something was gauche. Indeed, this sounds very much like something out of a comedy of manners from a century prior to our own.One does not compound a lack of tact by being so tactless as to give voice to the original offense.

Eisenhower National System of Interstate and *Defense* Highways.This being less than three quarters of the total mileage of the Strategic Highway Corridor Network (STRAHNET) and STRAHNET connectors.Highways are weapons deployment platforms first, mechanisms of re-configuring the social order only as convenient byproduct.
