       @gulovsen 1/2 This is not intended to be flip or snarky, but an honest question:What might happen if everyone under 30 voted?I’m kind of in the same boat as you. I’m disabled, on a fixed income, so I lack the means to organize for real change. I agree with most of that article. But it seems to me that the only way we will see real change is revolution. Not armed conflict but strength in numbers, united with the goal of dethroning the plutocrats.

       2/2 As long as the planet runs on profits, there will be a small group of the super rich exploiting everyone else. I don’t think I’ll see real change in my lifetime, but I have faith in the power of motivated, organized younger people.The old foundations crumble with people like #AOC, #GretaThunberg, #KhaleaEdwards, #TajiChesimet, #AshtonMota, and dozens more, affecting real change by protesting, raising awareness, mentoring other young people, and showing how activism can make real change.

       @lowqualityfacts Last time I tried "Vote Blue No Matter Who" I voted for Kyrsten Sinema. Her primary opponent didn't stand a chance. Her Republican opponent was Martha McSally, who was appointed to US Senate the following year anyways.So... yeah.

       @freemo @georgetakei I initially posted the unemployment rate, but I thought the absolute numbers of unemployed people would show a clearer picture, so I edited my post to reflect that. In absolute terms, there are less unemployed people than in January 2022.Even looking at the unemployment rate, I consider calling it “a 20% increase” is misleading, since the unemployment rate is such a small percentage.
