Currently reading Three-body problem by Cixin Liu.I don't know if he's the first Chinese sci-fi writer, but I'm really appreciating the new perspective he's writing from. I guess I've always read western sci-fi without thinking about it much. He also has a physics background, and the premise is a good mix of realistic and imaginative, which makes the suspension of disbelief not so hard.#books #scifi

@Zergling_man I'm planning to add those tags as search options, and maybe filtering by users as well. The mastodon.social list is not complete tho, but that's the only available data source. I couldn't find mastodon.technology on that list :(

@Prof_Trixie @johnhattan Broadchurch is fantastic. Crime drama at its finest. David Tenant and Olivia Coleman are amazing, w/ subtle + powerful performances. And as with most brit shows, the rest of the cast is great and the show doesn't drag on. Picard was... fine. I still don't get why the show exists, but I'll watch Patrick Stewart do anything. If he wants to do a show where he stands around and does nothing for 5 seasons, I'm sold :D

I tried to search for "fediverse" on LinkedIn and, surprise surprise, I didn't find many promising results.Are there any companies, startups, or enterprises working to further the #fediverse somehow? @Korgdisso @temporal @Gargron @stunder I still keep a LinkedIn profile hoping I'll find an employer who shares my non-work tech interests, the fediverse being one of them. But LI isn't what is used to be. Now it's more self-congratulations, virtue signalling, and has almost nothing to do with tech. Which is bad because we still need a place to connect professionally since normal people still aren't on the fediverse.
