@ohyran Yeah, but who wants to buy music that you then have to figure out how to get to all your different devices and then keep it updated when you can get that all, with no effort needed, with streaming? Buying music is a dead. Much like buying films is. And it's certainly not dead because it's better, but because it's worse.

@ohyran That's not true. If I miss a payment on Spotify, I will get reverted to the free account, but I will still keep all my content and can still play it.

@ohyran I'd rather pay for a subscription service and all that content with apps for all of my devices without having to deal with storing the actual music somewhere and figuring out how to actually get it to my devices (is there even a way that takes about as much time as streaming services?, or a way at all?) in a non-headache-inducing way, and keep it constantly up to date whenever I stumble on a new song I like (Shazam allows you to add music to your streaming services with just a tap).

@ohyran Convenience will always win as long as there are people. Whoever delivers us that convenience, is our ally. Right or wrong, yours or rented, who cares? My speakers output music just as yours do. I just get it more conveniently.

@ohyran @neildarlow Actually, come to think of it, I was wrong. I do get spam, but because of how gmail automatically puts it in the trash, I don't really see it unless I go check out trash. Aye, web forms are the worst. That said, I show my email publicly on my website, and I don't think (could be wrong?) that I don't get spam through it. But again, how would I know right?

@tootapp how did you get past the App Store requirement of "Require that users agree to terms (EULA) and these terms must make it clear that there is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users" ?Asking for my own app, because I can't find a single Mastodon app that actually has a EULA.

Alright so downloaded the XCode 11 GM Seed version, and now I can't even upload to Testflight anymore saying (Invalid binary) and telling me to use a stable XCode. I thought GM _was_ stable?
