@nottrobin @WarnerCrocker When Amazon was starting out as a bookstore, they would lose 1 cent on every dollar they made. I used to LOL at how a business could even survive, when they lost 1% on every sale.Given enough VC funding, they killed the competition.The "60% independent sellers" were small businesses, Mom & Pop stores, before Amazon muscled in with its money. Now, Amazon gets a cut out of their pockets.

@fcktheworld587 Veterans are recruited with promises of heroism, often out of poverty where their only way out is to get a college education paid for by the G.I. Bill.They have to risk life & limb to get an education in USA!IF/when they come back from fighting wars for corporate profits, vets are discarded on the sidewalk, broken bodies missing limbs, broken minds insane from PTSD.Disposable heroes! They add to the problems of poverty, homelessness and crime in cities. The cycle resumes.
