@h_tejas @dpanjana They do produce news. The news is crowdsourced anyways. Given the push he is doing on Jio and Retail/Payments platform, this will be the default move forward. I am guessing next is launch of a Hike type messaging platform for Jio.

@DesCoutinho interesting enough, the migrant workers brought into Bangalore to do manual scavenging work/house help/security guards were done by a BJP MLA. He got them in and settled them into chawls along outer ring road. And even helped them get Aadhar cards. There was reporting on this a while back. @IshaKaushik @hackiechan

I ran a poll on subtitles in movie theatres. The reason was, a friend is trying to talk to theatres in Bangalore to get them to subtitle every movie (they can ask distributors, in turn asking the producers). He is hearing impaired. He has a cochlear implant, but multiple sources of voices confuse him. He needs subtitles, and so do many others in similar situation. If we support this campaign, the big screens might listen and take action.

Yes, Netflix/Prime etc are an option, but as he said, we feel like going out and enjoying with friends too. Yes, someone mentioned glasses with an overlay. Some US theatres do have it, but it’s very annoying as your eye is continuously trying to switch between a near and far vision.

@toneji looks fabulous. One of my fav dishes is Okonomiyaki. Singapore used to have this place on Orchard Rd where they had a live counter.
