I did a thing! It reads points of interest from a CSV file and displays them on an #OpenLayers map. Written in #Clojure and #ClojureScript.https://github.com/art-solopov/map_points_display

@djsumdog Yeah, I haven't gotten to the README yet. 😅 Screenshot-wise it's nothing special yet, mostly default styles and a couple points for testing purposes.

Apparently #Microsoft's VS Code isn't really #OpenSource: https://github.com/Microsoft/vscode/issues/60Could anyone point out a good #FOSS IDE for JavaScript?..

@cbowdon It's interesting!Do you, by chance, know what mode to use for React and such?

@cbowdon I'm using Spacemacs for Python and Rust, but I didn't manage to make it befriend React. Thank you!

TIL about transducers in #Clojure. Pretty different to the way I usually do things in #Ruby or #Python... Never thought about transforming a reducer, basically building complex logic from simple "building block" reducers.http://elbenshira.com/blog/understanding-transducers/

I like #Clojure quite a lot... Which is why it saddens me that every time I try to do some #WebDevelopment stuff in it, I feel demotivated. It feels like for every step you wanna take, there's a dozen things that need to be learned and adjusted.I've just come to understand (more or less) how to do routing with reitit more or less properly, and now I basically have to dig into another big, not obvious library to understand how to perform validations.

@veer66 I don't know... I've glanced at it, and I thought it was way overkill, and that I would be better with smaller components.

@veer66 That's a very sensible approach, thank you! That way, I won't feel as overwhelmed by choice. I'm looking at what Luminus chose, and now I'm getting the feeling that I just, didn't pick the easiest tools to start with.
