The Microblog.pub instance for the Irish Left Archive @ila seems to be working fairly smoothly, though I'm sure there are plenty of feature gaps in the custom templates still to be found...Thanks to @dev for a great project! And for responding so quickly to bug reports :)#ActivityPub #Fediverse #IrishLeftArchive

@Castopod I'd be inclined to focus on a strong ActivityPub implementation first. I don't mean it critically -- Castopod is already excellent -- but the ActivityPub implementation is still a bit rough. But longer term, support for more open standards can only be a positive!

@Castopod Just updated @ILAPodcast to 1.2.3 -- it's great to have a quick view of download totals in the episode list now.

@nekothegamer @Mike_Ryan_Ret @60pencilgirl @fosserytech @Eamon1916 Startpage uses Google's results, doesn't it? It seems to make weird assumptions as well. For example, I was looking up a historical event I knew the date for recently, so included, e.g. 5th April 1966. Words highlighted in bold included various other months, like it just decided *any* month would do; and it even highlighted other years.Though admittedly DDG can be weak too

@fosserytech @nekothegamer @Mike_Ryan_Ret @60pencilgirl @Eamon1916 I haven't tried that; I'll give it a go. It's not so much dates as assuming what you mean. Matching e.g. 'feline' for 'cat' might be useful, but 'October' for 'April' is useless. I find google results have got far too presumptuous that way.
