@OpenComputeDesign I'm bit curious what game it is. There might be workarounds for making it work in Linux.

@OpenComputeDesign According to ProtonDB it should work: https://www.protondb.com/app/675010What I usually do when game doesn't work is to switch to latest Proton. If that doesn't work, there's always Proton GE.

@Linux_in_a_Bit Damn, systemd is already 12 years old, maybe I have to start using it now... 😀 As for Wayland, lot of games would be using X11 anyway. But maybe some day.

@djamayaofficial I have been using Evince for quite some time. I used to use xpdf, which was quite simple.I have never used CorePDF, so I don't know what makes navigating long files clunky. Evince at least has index on the side, so long files shouldn't be a problem.

@reverend funny thing about Linux is that it's as hard as you want it to be. You can order computer with Linux preinstalled or you can build it from scratch.

@OpenComputeDesign There's also some cool Blender projects, which might not look like low budget efforts, but really are.Blender has some cool stuff like camera tracking which makes projects mixing live action with CGI feasible. So I guess YouTube algorithm favours the better looking stuff. There has been quite famous low budget efforts over the years. Indiana Jones recreation has even documentary about it.I have also vague memory that similar effort has been made for Back to the Future.Asylum Studios is kind of commercial version of that. They have stolen ideas from famous movies and made them cheaply. Budget is off course higher than with home made movies,

@OpenComputeDesign there are at least two options. First is to let someone else to handle it for you by using something like AWS Lambda. Downside is that there's some learning curve. On physical computers, only solution as far as I know is Wake-On-LAN (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wake-on-LAN). With some luck you might have everything you need to get it working. Never tried it myself though, though I have remember seeing it in BIOS in one of my previous motherboards.

@BrodieOnLinux It's good test case for Godot. With addition of the agony modes there's so much stuff on screen that things start to slow down.Though luckily games experimental branch has updated Godot which performs better.
