@itnewsbot Ehh basically because the CEO is batshit insane, that's why they didn't do it? Seems like a lame copout. I suspect they'd be good at it given they're good at "exclusifying" things. Moderation, user flow control via an invite system would slow the advance of bigots and make users accountable for who they bring in....oh wait Bluesky already doing that. Might work for other platforms too if they did that.

The slowness of our legal system in prosecuting the Trump and his clownshow posse will be a stain on our history (among other stains on our history that are clearly racist AF). Trump gets treated DIFFERENTLY under the law. I never want to hear NO ONE IS ABOVE the law when his orange ass isn't even getting a fucking mugshot in federal cases. When any of his stooges can whine to delay and not be flat out told no when literally anyone else would've been laughed out of court.

@stux Oh? Gonna have to check that out. Been doing my gaming on Linux (Garuda on desktop Regata on Laptop), once I can get my photo processing apps properly working on Linux (DxO apps beats anything on Linux right now sadly for my workflow) then I can finally ditch Windows entirely on my beast box for processing media. BUT day to day gaming and use, it's all Linux all the time for me now. Not feeling MacOS these days, I like to customize and that's limited plus file management sucks on MacOS.

I think there needs to be more of an effort to draw more people to the Fediverse and away from the garbage commercial social media platforms like Threads and Twitter. Sad to say but with the hiring of a Project 2025 author, Threads has shown us they are all in for fascism like Musk. Just with less Ketamine.
