       hi there!  A belated #introduction!who am I?  hmm, let's see.  Increasingly leftist, cautiously optimistic, happily partnered woman living in the US.  These days I try to have fun, journal, and visit wild places, to avoid spiraling into cynicism.  I'm grappling with #LongCovid, especially #PEM, which has raised my awareness of #ableism ingrained in society and my own thinking, an awareness that humbles, downright embarrasses, yet also (hopefully) improves me.  My day-job in computational biology is partially remote, thankfully.  I'm very #Covid cautious.  I'm happy to engage with those who feel differently about their own covid risks, but I have little patience for covid-minimizing.
