It’s so weird. Every time there is a big Mastodon kerfuffle, I never see the the offending behavior, only the kajillion takes on the behavior. I guess somebody or somebodies said don’t self promote and now tons of folks are reacting? I must follow all the best people because I’ve yet to see a single person say don’t self promote. Just lots of boosts helping creatives show their stuff. As it should be.

Finally getting around to my #introduction. I’m a sometimes #artist, #writer (#poetry and #fiction), maker of various #crafts. My interests are too varied to list in full. Think arts and humanities, things having to do with bodies or of minds, the land, the sky, the sea. Pretty much anything. Except sports. I follow the #news. I read #books. #Politics are important. #Covid is airborne. CW should be used when talking about spiders not #racism.

It's now confirmed that my daughter contracted Covid at work (a local retail store). She discovered at least two of her coworkers also contracted it. The manager is pressuring them to go back to work with Covid. My daughter has refused to do so as she doesn’t want to infect her customers, many of whom are elderly. I'm sure this is not the only store pressuring sick people to work. Wear a mask while shopping, folks! #Covid #CovidIsNotOver

Day four with Covid. I feel like I’m getting worse every day. I hope this is the worst of it. Please let this be the worst of it. Had a high fever yesterday but is now down to a cozy 101F. Have completely lost my taste and smell which is weird because I thought that was one of the early signs. My head feels like it’s about to explode, my eyes barely hanging onto their sockets. My nostrils are full of cinders. This is horrible. #Covid #CovidIsNotOver

@Shanmonster yeah we tried my pharmacist as they have my med list already but it was no go. Getting a hold of my doctor is very difficult and would take too long. I’ll see what tomorrow brings

Day Seven with Covid. Dizzy, tired, sore, stuffy nose, post nasal drip/annoying throat tickle, intermittent nausea. Getting hints of taste back but not sure if it’s real or I’m imagining it. Still not the slightest whiff of smell. Not being able to smell or taste makes cooking a real crap shoot. Keep worrying that what I’m eating has gone bad and I won’t know until after I’ve eaten it. When my daughter asks me if I want something and gives me options, I get depressed because it doesn’t matter what she gives me. It’s all the same. Taken to having my meals described to me while I eat them.#covid #COVIDisNotOver

I imagine they’ve just started out and have a long way to go but I’ve already found out about the Arva flour mill that makes Red River Cereal (my Grandfather’s daily breakfast for nearly one hundred years!).
