@matt @drdrang Depending on the MacOS version you can run iOS apps on the desktop. Hence the problem. MetaText iOS respects the system font settings, which MacOS has not.

Adding on here. Especially if you’re starting out, don’t get hung up on working for one of the big companies or a flashy startup. Almost every company in business now requires some level of “tech” employee. For instance: my company sells online training, and I spend my days writing Python code and maintaining a MySQL database. Not to, like, deny anyone’s lived experience or anything; but when I check Twitter it’s the same people I’ve always followed (minus Mastodon defectors). No Trump, no Elon, no facist bots. @futurebird @AnarchoNinaAnalyzes I don't want to be one of those tedious-ass "Oh this is just like <other thing that happens regularly>" dudes. But Joe Arpaio's "Tent City" was 100% a trial run of this shit. Hundreds of people, mostly minorities, most not convicted of any crime (waiting trial), stuffed into tents in the AZ heat while Arpaio joked about pink uniforms and bologna sandwiches. And the public...shrugged.
