@divbyzero @edemaine weirdly this is the second time i've solved the problem of "what if error diffusion but the central point of each 3x3 subgrid was constrained", the last time being when @standupmaths was looking to build a double-sided picture out of rubiks cubes

@divbyzero @edemaine ok I did a bug fix and added gamma correction and can confirm: this works really wellall of these scan just fine on my phoneanyway the code is at https://codeberg.org/andrew-t/dithered-qr-codes but it's not good code, it's something i threw together in an hour or so and then tidied up like 15%

@jenniferplusplus this always seemed so counterproductive to me, I thought the point of AI was supposed to be precisely that you wouldn't need to look in the docs in the first place, if you need to be instructed on how to prompt it, what the hell is it even for?I mean of course I know really that the answer is "the docs don't exist to help people, they exist to push the ai" but come on man, push it in a way that makes sense (if you have one)

If you weren't around for cassette players, it will probably inflict some psychic damage to learn that the classic ▶️ play button symbol used to point in the direction the tape moves when playing, and if your unit happened to reel the tape the other way, the play symbol pointed left ◀️, and the ⏪ and ⏩ symbols were just swapped round
