I'm generally in favour of the online GP services here in the UK. However I can't understand why they close the enquiry system when the surgery is shut. I can only submit an online enquiry during surgery opening hours!

I'm doing some work for a team which supports M365. I'm glad to say they still get urgent messages from the top director's PA's saying that the system is broken because outlook "has had to reconnect to the Exchange server!" Lovely to see hierarchical tech support in all its glory after over 10 years away from that environment!

Really hope my Internet will be up over the next few days. Outside my flat I have what sounds like a dead UPS battery alarm coming from the Hyperoptic cabinet on my floor.

My 11th gen Intel Surface Laptop has been doing updates for the last hour now. Granted I didn't use it during January, so updates are good up until the end of December, but always hate getting out a laptop I haven't used in a while for this reason.

Joys of organising peals, someone drops out at 8 PM the previous night. Still struggling for a replacement ringer.

Does anyone know why Mastodon are recommending using HCaptcha instead of something like reCAPTCHA?

Genuinely loved the ability to switch off for a couple of days after a couple of hard weeks at work. Feel a bit robbed that I didn't go and do anything useful in London like meet new people etc but glad I used the time for myself.

Anyone used Qwil Messenger? Found the whole experience on iOS very inaccessible, just wondered whether anyone else had seen this before reporting.

@foone Na, labels are for wimps, just put the floppy disk in the drive and see what's on it!

@foone Yeah as I said, labels spoil the fun. I'm blind anyway so have no other choice.

@foone I came across that earlier on this month actually and remembered that being all over the place back in the day. Didn't they take it out of DOS 6.22? I remember it being in DOS 5 systems I worked on back in the day but when I got DOS 6.22 it wasn't in autoexec.bat.
