@Debradelai I gave up the folly of caring too much of what others think about what I think or do. 🤣 So, there is that...No doubt what you say is valid, but I was much more interested in the phenomenon of the whole thing than the content. Watching something unfold, even stupid things, is not the same as eating a shit sandwich in one bite.If this were so, then anyone watching the current politics and absolutely anything on mainstream media would have a mouthful of it.

@drawandstrike When the unfathomable and unbelievable turns into the inevitable? I'm horrified, but not even a little surprised.

@Debradelai My experiences with people with 'anarchist' leanings informs me that their ideas of 'freedom' usually means freedom from responsibility.Surprisingly (to me), this notion of freedom is supposed to produce something good. I've not observed any goodness coming from such notions, and I'm continuing to closely observe it now for decades in a row.Honestly. It's just bullshit to say this, and a thin veneer for a hypocritical parasite.

@DuaneCates @Debradelai @banishtheshadow @drawandstrike I 'believed' a lot of things while going through 30 solid years of drug addiction (for instance). So, I do get what you are saying.I also get what Saul is saying too though. Both sides of this convo are true, depending on which side you park your perception on.In order to come out of severe addiction/compulsion/nightmare zones, I had to come out of the self loathing and self harming beliefs and behaviors. To stop excusing them.1/2

@ThomasWic Oh, god yes. No one wants to talk about the addiction factor people have with being unhappy, but it's a big fat nasty elephant in the room.In my experience with addictions (and I really don't care what kind), what I know is that until there is a willingness to recognize and ADMIT there is an addiction pattern, there is not going to be any changing or possibility to recover from its ills.Addictions to victimhood are particularly nasty, and omg, what an epidemic of that we have.

@DuaneCates Oh har har. Sorry, but this is just funny to me.Not long ago there was a convo on youtube QuodMeet about girls at parties, leaving because of something or the other.I pointed out in the comments that they leave if they can't get the attention they want from boys that huddle up to talk about gaming. Is this their revenge? Hahaha! Can't get your attention? LOL. Here is the audience and here is the boom!, I win!

@StevenDouglas As a 'terminal' cancer survivor, I can testify that the most important thing to do, bar none, is to focus on LIFE. If you can manage that part, you got the hard part done and the rest will fall into place. Many blessings to you on your healing journey.

@DuaneCates What I think is so interesting now is that the insane push to confuse values and meanings is forcing the levels of discernment to come up to the surface for anyone who has any brain left.It just gets stupider and stupider as we go. Honest to goodness, it's like a basic intelligence test. And it's truly incredible how many fail it!

@EarlThePearls @StevenDouglas My own experience with health issues brought forth the most profoundly spiritual epiphanies and miracles too.Unbelievably benevolent in the long run, though it seemed like the worst thing EV-ER when it was happening.May you find this is so for you too, finding the unfathomable benefits through crisis.

@ThomasWic It's what I call (to myself) the 'tower of babel' bullshit. Useless to get panties in a wad over the word meaning fuckery. Those that use it have no intentions whatsoever of creating anything good, or of communicating anyway. It's all about creating chaos and fuckery, the end. Hehehe, what fun! And then, they just laugh and laugh when the rest of us fail to get their funky joke.I just find it BOR-ING. I'm certainly not going to have an idiotic conversation with an idiot.

@ThomasWic "Romantic" love is overrated. Better to have respect and true friendship, and after that, sometimes it can grow from there into something extraordinary and intimate.I don't see what I feel comes up to this stringent standard very often in relationships, but for me, it's either that way or the highway. It seems to me like most marriage partners find true respect and friendship to be too much to ask. Just sad...

@DuaneCates @ThomasWic This is, in my estimation, a fair assessment of what it is. Problems or issues just don't magically go away, or dissolve into the mist like some fairytale bs.At a certain point (ie, after many, many opportunities to see it like it is), we may mature enough to realize it's our personal bs and not the responsibility of anyone else, no matter the cause or source of it.It's not that difficult or complex, regardless of the litany of excuses.

@DuaneCates Most all anxiety about the future is a bad habit. I call this stupidity negative fantasizing. This doom and gloom habitual bullshit is never true and is always indulging fantasies anyway. If we wish to be stupid and ill, then it's a great plan. Otherwise, it's a fool's errand.Time to get over it and grow up.

@ThomasWic Just like making a sculpture, without an outline to hang the content on, it's going to be difficult to make a book. It's like a body without a spine, lol. Which basically, with more and more 'weight' or ideas/concepts/content added, collapses and turns into a blob or puddle of muck.In today's climate of information, it's also note worthy that brevity is a good thing. Allow the reader to fill in the blanks, by giving them just enough to take them to that place in themselves.

@Debradelai Listening now. I also got the shoot the gun lesson at around 4 or 5 years old. Best way to show the power of the gun and how it is never ever a toy.I never have liked them, but good always to know how to load and shoot them. Not wave them around and talk about it EVER. Either shoot it or leave it alone.

@ThomasWic I was a bit older, in my thirties, before I had to deal with serious mental health issues. The seeds were set way before then, of course.Alcohol and drugs played a role in that, of course, a sign of the times, I think. Still and all, people like you and me prove that recovery is possible, and it can be complete.Like you say, first comes complete honesty with self. Without this, the conversation is mute.

@darulharb @DeWalt All 'currencies' are inherently a gamble. LOL. They all run on 'confidence', the end.So then, how confident are we of any of them? That is the question to ask oneself. The best way to invest is, and always has been, to invest in oneself. Managing any 'excess' after that is always going to be as tricky as related to one's ability to suss out what we might share confidence in long term.
